Blue is a sweet faithful pet.
Has experienced home life in foster care. House trained.
We found Blue in a terribly neglected emaciated state, he was so starved and weak, it took him a long time to regain his health and strength. Now he is a joyous, loving, grateful dog who really wants cuddles and wants to please.
He has lived with other dogs, he prefers female dogs who will play without aggressive nature.
Blues medication costs around 5 euro a month.

Pixie adores love, cuddles and attention.
When she first arrived at the shelter she was extremely shy, she would hide away, as the weeks have gone on she has totally transformed into one of the most loving dogs we have. Gentle kisses are her favourite.
She will make a perfect family dog.
She seems to be house trained, loves the outdoors for running around. Loves the company of other dogs.
Not cat tested as yet.
All our dogs are adopted with EU Passport, chipped, fully vaccinated, 6 part laboratory blood tested, Neutered.

LILIBET (LILI)
Female - approx weight 9 kilo.

Looking for a local home here in Spain.
Breed type. Dachshund cross mini pinscher. Short leg.
Known to the staff as Lili. She was living on the streets scavenging for food and very wary of people. Needed urgent intervention by trapping her as she was obviously heavily pregnant and ready to drop.
She came into our rescue and gave birth to 8 surviving puppies. All pups are now homed and it's time to prep Lili for adoption herself.
She is still shy of people she doesn't know, but we can honestly say once she knows you she is the most faithful companion. A very well behaved lady, is clean indoors,
Sadly Lili is not suited to apartment life.
Although a small dog, she spends most of her time outside, we don't know her history other than she was living on the streets and took 2 weeks to trap her. She was heavily pregnant so it became urgent that she was caught.
She can be snappy to strangers if she feels frightened., and isn't happy on the lead, although we are working on this. She is fantastic with us, as she realises the time and patience and care we gave her and her pups. But she is very stuck in her ways. She goes crazy if shut indoors, thankfully with the Clement weather here in Spain she is able to have the door left open and has confidence now in coming indoors. But close her in and she has destroyed the floor and door.
The biggest ask from an adopter will be the initial time needed to bond with her and her dislike of being shut indoors. She does like her outside play area especially when left alone.

Polly is devoted to her human. Her bond becomes noticeable, she will not leave your side, so faithful, loves walking with you, sleeping with you, and cuddling on the sofa with you.
Pollys best doggy friend is Lilibet, also in our album.
Polly came to us at deaths door, we truly didn't think she was going to make it, but she is such a fighter, a history of total neglect, Polly now knows what love is, and she has such a lot to give in return.
All our dogs are adopted with EU Passport, chipped, fully vaccinated, 6 part laboratory blood tested, Neutered.

He does enjoy a decent size garden to play in. He was rescued as a very young puppy and has been in our care all this time.

WILLOW.

Willow was founf lifeless in a field. We rushed her to the vets hospital where she was admitted and given blood tranfusion and rehydrated over a period of a week. We were told she was blind but as she has recovered her eyesight has returned.
She is extremely friendlt to humans loves cuddles and fuss. Very faithful. Is nervous of new dogs but the moment she realises she is not going to get hurt, she makes friends and plays very nicely with them. Currently sharing with 2 other dogs.

TOOTSIE Wootsie Mamma.
Female.
DOB 20.01.2014
Breed type - small bodeguero.
Passported, microchipped, fully vaccinated, Neutered and 6 part laboratory blood tested.
Tootsie was found paralysed near a road, we took her under our wing, she spent a long time in our vets on treatment to get her back legs working. There was no obvious reasons for her paralysis, just cuts, bruising and ligament injury. She was totally anemic, and had tick fever. Her blood was that thin blood tests were inconclusive. She spent weeks recouperating then the vet could get a proper blood analysis, she had high level leishmaniasis, also they could see she was pregnant. Sadly nothing looked good with the pregnancy, so she had to have a termination. With quantity of medication she had received, her state of health and her age, this was the safest decision to make.
How this dog survived we will never understand, but she is incredible, to see her now she is a different dog. Happy, playful, bouncing around and oh so so loving.
A tiny little bundle of joy for anyone who wants a small dog, she is gorgeous.
Gets along with other dogs, not cat tested, but she is not a nasty soul.

Passport, chipped, Fully vaccinated, 6 part Lab blood tested, positive to Leishmania but low level, Neutered.
She was dumped 100 meters from our closest neighbor, she stayed in the same place all night crying. We found her laying on the asphalt waiting for her owner to come back for her. Toga was not so scared of people but I could see she had been locked up for a long time.
She is looking for a home with a medium active family, she needs her walks and love doing some puzzle or having a bone to chew on now and then as she still gets a bit restless. Good with other dogs and lives with a lot of cats in her foster home. She is extremely cuddly and puts her head in your hand to get stroked. Likes to play with a ball and walks well on the lead.

STRAWBERRY

Strawberry was found running in the road outside Mikys Bar in Coin.
She had obvious marks on her face that we assume was from a dog fight. She is still wary around other dogs, but her fear has definitely subsided a lot with training. She lives very happily in the shelter environment alongside other dogs, but has her own kennel.
Strawberry is fantastic with humans, very loving indeed, even strangers she is confident around. We also feel she would be ok with kids.
Definitely not sure about cats.
Strawberry thrives on training, she loves it. It stimulates her and we would advise a home where this will continue. She loves attention and stimulation.

We found Meatball totally emaciated and covered in wounds. He was a very sad and unloved boy.
Today he is a different dog...happy, healthy, healed and a bundle of fun. He is very energetic, needs stimulation and thrives on attention. He is a very faithful companion dog.

Lola is great with her 2 adult puppies but her old owner who surrendered the 3 to us, said not good with strange dogs we also I wouldn't trust her with cats. She is good in the car, good on a leash. Great with all people, she is doing well.
She has the onset of hip dysplasia, very slight so I wouldn't advise very young children. A nice quiet house would suit. She is very obedient, very loyal and loves her garden

He is a very fun loving boy, doesnt know his own strength and size, an experienced patient owner is needed for Clyde... but he has absolutely no fear of people now, he is just a dog who has up until now had no training or attention, this we are now giving him and he is thriving.

Alfie is a sweet little guy who is so calm and laid back. One of the least demanding dogs we have. He would be a great dog in a home, and asks very little just love and care.
He was saved from the street after being badly bitten by 3 other dogs. All his wounds have now healed.
Because of his attack Alfie is scared of other dogs and would be happiest as an only dog. Not cat tested.
Loves cuddles, very loving to the staff, very clean in his pen, loves his comfy bed, Healthy appetite. Walks good on the lead. Extremely well behaved, polite, quiet boy.

Very shy timid boy, we think when we rescued Harvey he had never had human contact and had lived on his own wits all his life. We work on his confidence issues daily. He has come on a great deal, but will need a patient owner, He will never be a dog who would be ok walking on a lead. He adores the company of other dogs and takes his strength from being in their company. Harvey is none aggressive, very placid, yet playful with his doggy friends.
He truly deserves his chance, if the right home can be found for this adorable little dog.

Evie came to us after she wandered into a lady's garden in the campo with obvious signs of escaping from a life on a chain as she had a wound around her neck. Took a while to get close to her to get her captured and brought to our rescue, now she realises people are not going to hurt her.

Was found scavenging at dustbins with her pal Poppy. and came into the rescue suffering from Parvo Virus, from which she has fully recovered now.
Not cat tested.
Wants to be an only dog. Brooke is such an extremely people dog, she just wants to be with you and cuddle you and be your best pal.
We find Brooke extremely friendly and in need of human company.. she is such a sweetheart and now really missing her sister Poppy who has been lucky enough to find a home.
We really need this girl into a home, whether it be foster or Adoption.. she is so sad in the kennels.
Is house trained, sits when asked and is currently getting lead training.

From a frightened, emaciated, abandoned dog scavenging for food on the road, Peanut has amazed us in his transformation. Not only in appearance, but in his character.
This dog makes us laugh so much, nicknamed by the staff as "Fagin" because everything is fair game to be stolen and taken to his bed, lol.
He is shy at first, after 10 minutes he is your best mate. Definitely a cheeky, intelligent guy, who will follow you to the ends of the earth for a sausage. He adores cuddles and is a total sofa dog.
Not cat tested. Very good with other dogs.
Not yet confident on the lead, this is a work in progress. Very good in the car. Will definitely need a garden to play in.

Kimba turned up at the home of one of our admins. She was unchipped and after all attempts to find her owner locally with no success we put her into the name of Last Chance.
Kimba is now ready for rehoming.
She is a real fun loving dog. But has limitless energy.
She is a strong powerful girl, who will need a home where she can get the training she needs, but in saying this, she is so eager to please, so faithful and so in need of love and cuddles, she will do anything to please her human.
She is at the shelter and as we have not had the benifit of her back history or a foster home, we do not know if she is house trained, but again we stress she is a very intelligent girl, and we feel she will graps this real quick.
She has been introduced to other dogs, but only on the lead thus far. She has shown no aggression.
She is not cat tested and we wouldnt advise a home with cats due to her energy. We feel the same with small children as she is a bounder of adventure and could be a bit too boisterous in the beginning.
Whta we will say is we know Kimber needs more than a shleter environment can offer, she adores people, is always confident and tail wagging, and will play retrieve the ball all day long if given the chance.

Chanel is a work in progress as she came to us basically at deaths door. Everything that could be wrong was wrong for this totally neglected girl who had just lived rough for we think all her life.
Leismaniosis off the scale, as you can see by her feet that are still swollen, but improving, Tick fever, totally anemic, dehydrated and starving, and add to this early stages of pregnancy which had to be terminated due to her health, neither her nor the pups would have survived.
Chanel has received the very best treatments and is now a different dog, she is well on the road to recovery.
She adores the company of other dogs, adores tummy tickles from us humans, is a feisty confident and funny girl, the Diva of the shelter and a very popular dog with all the staff. She makes us laugh all the time.
Lead training is still on going as she has never been on a lead in her life, but we are getting there.
She travels well in the car

Shares his pen with his 2 Bee Gee friends at the shelter, as from the same rescue place, being kept in a chicken pen.
Robin can be very shy of new people at first, does not have the confidence of his brothers, but is not aggressive, After a short time he comes around and then just loves to be friends with you.
He loves to play but is also a very relaxed dog.
His only trait is we have to feed him separate as he is greedy and will polish off everyones food if he can get to it. Due to his shyness we would not advise a hectic home or one with small children as it would be too much for him.
Walks well on the lead and travels well in the car.

Barry came into the rescue with 2 other dogs which he shares his pen with at the shelter.
He came to us suffering from Parvo virus and was immediately hospitalised, He beat the virus and is now a very healthy lively dog.
He adores to play with other dogs and humans. He is a typical collie energetic breed type and therefore needs a home to suit his energy levels. From assessment he would thrive on agility training to stimulate his character.

Maurice can to us with his "brothers" from a terrible place, where all 3 were living in a chicken pen, no room and an extremely sad state of affairs, to see them now having the freedom to run and play is an absolute delight.
He shares his pen with his 2 mates, he is a gentle giant of a dog, very respectful, adores human company, walks well on the lead, travels well in the car. He just wants to be loved and have his own home.

ZORRO
Male - Mastin type cross breed

Zorro was found on the streets, disorientated after obviously being hit by a car. He suffered serious facial injuries to the one side of his eye area and mouth.
4 operations later of reconstructive surgery, we think it is as far as we can go to improve his looks, which has still left some visible trauma and sacring to his eye area, but his sight is unaffected, it is all superficial skin damage now.
Zorro is a sweet loving faithful dog, who has not let his trauma affect his nature in any way. He just adores everything and everybody.
He is extremely energetic and a bit boisterous, but we also feel this is down to him wanting a home of his own where he can be doted on more than we can give him in the shelter.
He is a bit special to us, and we think you will find he is a very special dog for a family if adopted.
Due to his boisterous nature we would not advise small children in the home.
He walks well on the lead, travels well in the car.

Cami came to us after being caught heavily pregnant and living life on the streets scavenging for food from dustbins.
2 days later she gave birth having 12 surviving pups. Since her pups have grown and have been adopted we have been working hard on Camis confidence issues.
Now she has been integrated into the annex and is free running with other dogs and loves to play, she adores this. She is now slowly coming out of her shell and learning us humans are pretty nice too.
Cami is now doing so well with lead training and getting confidence in the car.

We would advise Jack to be an only dog, and he is not good with cats.
Great with all humans.
Jack is a strong lad who can be a bit boisterous but in a very funny and non harmful way. Just still acts like a daft puppy but has a lot of weight behind him so could knock you over. Needs a fit owner who wants to continue with Jacks training as he really is so intelligent he loves to learn.
Will be the most faithful, loving dog.

Jonboi is a high energy happy boy, as far as we know he does not get along with the other male dogs in the shelter, but takes a liking to the female dogs dependent on their energy levels.
He would best suit an experienced dog home where he can thrive on training and people who have the time to dedicate themselves to this really wonderful dog who has missed out on so much life from his past neglect and abuse and starvation.
We would not advise a home for Jonboi with another male dog or cats or small children.
He is good on the lead, good in the car and would suit an energetic person who also have a decent sized garden as he loves the outdoors

Teddy is a lovely natured dog, at first he is shy and backs off barking, but a sausage or 2 later and he is a sweet lovely soul who is just getting over his fear after the dreadful life of neglect and starvation he has suffered. He loves cuddles, playtime and his comfy bed.

He shares his life with his soul mate Darling who he absolutely adores.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOCAL HOME IN MALAGA ONLY.
These two sisters are from a litter of 7 puppies, which were caught when they were about 8 weeks old. We put them in foster but had to come to our shelter when they got older.
In the meantime they were already a year old but terribly afraid of people. With a lot of patience they got both confidence back again. They remain afraid of strangers, but once they know you, they prefer to sit on your lap. We are looking for a family that has experience with anxious dogs.
Someone who understands and can still give them a great life.
They trust the volunteers who walk with them. They walk neatly on leash and are good with other dogs.
We need to carry on maintaining a good quality of life for our shelter dogs. Any donation small or large will be gratefully received. Thank you

Neutered, Passported, Chipped, Fully vaccinated and Blood tested.
These 2 wonderful dogs really deserve better than this... but we agreed to take both to keep them together as losing their home and their owner all in one day was too much we thought.. at least they have each other for stability for this time in their lives.
We are doing our very very best to keep them happy and will do everything we can to find them loving stable homes ASAP.
IF YOU HAVE A FARM/FINCA AND COULD LET THESE DARLINGS BECOME A PART OF YOUR COUNTRY LIFE THEY WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL.

Height to shoulder Gloria is 40cm
Her leg wounds have now healed and she is happily mingling with the other dogs.
She absolutely loves attention and her shy demeanour is improving by the day. She is available for adoption but she will need the company and security of another dog in the household.. Gloria will need a patient adopter, who will allow Gloria the time to feel safe and secure in her new environment. Once she gets her paws under the table she is a really fun friendly dog, but will not handle busy environments and lead walks in busy areas.
Passported, chipped and fully vaccinated.

Good cats and kids, a bit frightened of other boisterous dogs but not in an aggressive manner... would be maybe more suited as an only dog but cats he loves them.
very sweet natured gentle giant, at 70cm to shoulder.

Asser and another dog had been roaming in the mountains for quite a while and local people were feeding them. This boy is extra gentle and shy and from his demeanor must have had a home at some time and been abandoned. He has been in our care for a long time now, walks on leash and well behaved. Would benefit from a quieter home, around other dogs. With a decent size garden.
