IF YOU FIND A SRAY/ABANDONED ANIMAL
Please do not expect Charity shop staff to take an animal from you for whatever reason, as they are only there to volunteer their time at the shop.
Do not automatically phone or take it to a *Dog shelter/charity or private individual* that does rescue work as most are usually full to capacity and the dog might have an owner?
Check if it belongs to any of your neighbours
Take it to your local vet and they will check to see if the dog is Micro chipped. If it is then they will contact the owner.
If it is not chipped and you can keep the dog for a few days, then put a poster in at the local Vets, Shops, etc. and also send a photo and details to animal charities...
If you cannot keep the dog at all, then contact your local Animal Centre/Charity etc... to see whether the dog can be taken in or if they could suggest as to where the dog could be placed.
