Emily & Ebony

When we get visitors to the shelter they always say how shy these 2 sisters appear to be.

We know them differently, and... Incredibly today Blanca and Lucia came back to visit and my goodness did the dogs remember them. This is the dogs we know and love so so much, happy, bouncy and playfull. All they ever need is familiarity to see their true characters.

We are also thrilled that Blanca is coming back to work at the shelter through the winter months as she has a break in her coursework. This is fabulous for not only me Alex and Marcus who love her to bits, but all the dogs remember and love her so so much

On way to our shelter now
He had been on the chain 4 years and now just left to die living in his own shit.

Sorry filming was not as important as reducing his stress. There was understandable fear aggression so everything was done as quickly and calmly as possible. Now to get him into the shelter which is always loud and that won't be easy

Tootsie

Afraid she's getting fat, hahaha. She's doing so so well.

Think she's fit and well enough now to prep her for adoption. She's walking great, eats way too much, adores everyone, loves other dogs, she is very polite, sweet and faithful.

She is 9 years old and has had a rotten life before rescue, you can just tell and we can see her gratitude. She is a total delight

Mum Lilli is coping very well. Eating like a horse, having calcium and vitamin supplements , and able to have a little rest and relaxation now. She far more chilled out.

She has given birth to 8 pups

TWO GEESE

HOMED!! These two were looking for a loving home.

They were in a townhouse in a small Patio of a Spanish lady, which was really not the right situation for them and a plea for help came to Last Chance AID. So they were homed today (within a couple of days) to a family with farm animals and they went to their new home in Alora, Malaga in the back of the 4x4 covered up with a sheet. Done and dusted as they say. Good result!

A visit to our shelter in Pizarra, Malaga,  by some of our Charity volunteers and the video was produced as the volunteers arrived and you can see the excitement of the dogs.

The kennels are mainly used for feeding the dogs and for sleeping at night.

During the day and weather permitting, the dogs are let out into to large play areas. We have four sections at our shelter and the video below is of our second section

December 2021

Zorro was found on the streets, disorientated after obviously being hit by a car. He suffered serious facial injuries to the one side of his eye area and mouth. 2 operations later of reconstructive surgery, we think it is as far as we can go to improve his looks, which has still left some visible trauma and sacring to his eye area, but his sight is unaffected, it is all superficial skin damage now.

Zorro will require cream and eye drops regular to prevent dry eye occuring.

Zorro is a sweet loving faithful dog, who has not let his trauma affect his nature in any way. He just adores everything and everybody.

November 2021

Bob & Muffin were abandoned by a local farmer and we simply had to take them into our care.

We placed them in one of our 4 sections at the shelter where they can sleep at night under cover and have a good run around outside in the day time

November 2021

These workmen are dividing the large play areas so that more dogs can enjoy the outside as not all mix well. Unfortunatelly we can never have enough volunteers to do this sort of jobs and we have to find funds all the time to be able to improve the life of our dogs

JANUARY 2020

Well...Finally its is that time.

Last Chance Animal Rescue and Animals in Distress are now a single Animal Rescue Charity.

We hope and pray that everyone will support us in this new venture, for the sake of the animals and the future of the wonderful positive things hopefully yet to come where both sets of supporters will come together to allow the A.I.D. legacy to carry on under the umbrella of Last Chance Animal Rescue. Continuing all the great established works such as the dog shelter in Pizarra as well as the furniture warehouse and auctions, along with a team of volunteers from both rescues. Its a New Year.. A new look and a new positive approach to helping more and more abandoned and abused animals. We cannot afford to lose any support, so please, if you can, continue to support us.. we have so much more great work to do...Teamwork makes the Dream work xxx
